Tales of Kenzera: ZAU Can Be Played in English or Swahili

The upcoming metroidvania game by Surgent Studios will launch with two voice options players can choose during their playthrough. You can either decide to play Tales of Kenzera: ZAU in English or Swahili.

The announcement comes from the studio itself which shared the official voice cast list for the game on social media last night. The studio revealed that the game features two rosters of cast members. Each voice option has its own stars.

For the English voice work, Zau is voiced by Abubakar Salim. For the Swahili voice work, Zau is voiced by Neville Misati, for example.

The Swahili voice cast includes some notable names including Kenyan actor Maqbul Mohammed and Nigerian actor Melvin Alusa. South African actress, singer and songwriter Letoya Pulumo is also on the list. She voices Mama.

Tales of Kenzea: Zau is set to launch on 23 April for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game was recently confirmed as a day 1 launch title on PlayStation Plus so you’ll be able to play the game on the day if you’re an Extra or Deluxe member.
