Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown has been delayed again. The game, which was originally meant to release in 2023, has now been shifted up to “early 2024”. There is some good news though – the beta for the upcoming racer is expected to arrive later this month. So at least you’ll get your hands on it before the delayed release date.
Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown has been through some rocky development. The game was originally announced back in 2020 and was expected to launch in September last year. However, Nacon suddenly delayed the game from September 2022 into 2023 while at the same time, cancelled development on the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

The year has come and gone and we didn’t hear anything about Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown up to now. Fans suspected it would get delayed again which it has. Nacon didn’t provide any information as to why Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown was delayed again into 2024. We also don’t know when in “early 2024” the game is expected.
Along with the delay, Nacon and its developer KT Racing to did showcase 25 minutes of new gameplay for Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown. So far, the game does look pretty impressive. It seems the delay was worth it.
Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown features an ambitious full digital recreation of Hong Kong Island and its full 550km of roads. The roads are fully explorable and the city is yours to take on.
As for the Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown beta, you can sign up for the test today. It kicks off on 24 July and will last for three days.
