The Expanse: A Telltale Series has officially been dated. Episode 1 will launch on 27 July for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC through the Epic Games Store.
The game was originally announced back at The Game Awards in 2021. It was also branded as Telltale’s first new game since the studio was closed down back in 2018. Telltale closed its doors in 2018 after some harsh financial struggles but its assets were purchased by LGC Entertainment. The firm then revived the studio and kicked off development on new titles. 0

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is the first game to come out of the studio since its acquisition by LGC Entertainment. After the studio produced multiple award-winning games in the past, it will be interesting to see how this reformed company performs back in the gaming industry.
Telltale says that the first episode of The Expanse will launch on 27 July and new episodes will drop every two weeks from that date. There are a total of five episodes planned for Season 1. Pre-orders for The Expanse: A Telltale Series go live on 1 June. There’s a standard edition and a deluxe edition. The latter comes with unannounced DLC and 24-hour early access.
Telltale has set the events of The Expanse: A Telltale Series before the story of the TV series on Syfy. The TV series is likely one of the most popular and successful sci-fi shows in recent history so the game’s release has a lot to live up to.
Telltale says the new game also marks a large step for the studio. It will deliver more exploration and immersion than any previous Telltale game to date.
