Trailer For Cancelled Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Great Web Leaked Online

A gameplay trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Great Web has leaked online revealing a game which was seemingly ready for market. The trailer confirms the previously leaked details regarding the game and its 5-player co-op gameplay.

Players took the role of various Spider-People including Miles, Peter and Gwen Stacy. They were thrown into New York and had to fight through the Sinister Six while taking down bosses and their goons. The trailer reveals that the game was based on a multiverse theme which linked various Spider-Man worlds together.

The multiverse is called The Great Web. This was a result of the Scarlet Witch who tore open the multiverse.

If anything, the gameplay trailer looks pretty cool. It almost seems as if the game was ready for launch. You can see the characters swinging around New York City, jumping into uniquely-themed rifts and even fighting enemies with some cool-looking co-op moves.

Rewatching the trailer, you’ll also notice various other characters across the footage. This includes Venom and Cindy Moon as Silk.

Cindy Moon’s appearance is especially important as she is likely one of the main characters to appear in future games. She’s seen during the trailer at 0:46.

It is a real pity we’ll never get to play Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Great Web. The game doesn’t look too bad. It does raise the concern of what caused the game’s cancellation. Perhaps its live-service elements weren’t enough for Sony?
