God of War will look better than ever on the PS5 according to Santa Monica. The studio announced that the game is confirmed to run at a higher frame rate while using the “favour performance” video option. In addition, users can transfer their saves from the PS4 and pick up where they left off on the PlayStation 5.
Santa Monica Studios shared the news on Twitter;
Whether you’re picking up the game for the first time or looking to finish that NG+ save, God of War (2018) on the #PS5 will offer:
🎞️ Up to 60 FPS using the ‘Favor Performance’ video option
🎮 Save Transfers – start right where you left off on the PS4!

Keep in mind that God of War will not be updated with any PS5 enhancements. Instead, the game is simply making use of the PlayStation 5 backwards compatibility which automatically enhances the experience. God of War is one among the thousands of games which are supported through the PS5 backwards compatibility feature. Many of which all support save transfers as well as automatic visual enhancements. However, there are a few games that won’t make the cut. Check out the full list here.
