Battlefield 2042 Season 6: Dark Creations Announced

EA and DICE have unveiled the future of Battlefield 2042 and its upcoming Season 6: Dark Creations. The content will bring a new close-quarters combat map and some new weapons and cosmetics to collect while you’re playing the game.

The Battlefield 2042 Season 6: Dark Creations trailer is a little bit confusing. The footage showcases the game’s new map and some flashy visuals but it also shows players facing off against enemies with glowing eyes. By the look of things, the content looks sort of PvE-ish. It would be pretty cool if Battlefield 2042 would get some PvE modes. Perhaps people might return to the game.

Of course, these enemies might just be showcasing some of the cosmetics available in the upcoming season and their glowing eyes are just some visual effects you can unlock and equip yourself.

The trailer also gives off a surreal sense of narrative which Battlefield 2042 definitely lacks. There’s absolutely no story going on in the latest game whatsoever and this trailer tries hard to make that seem otherwise.

DICE claims the new map in Battlefield 2042 Season 6: Dark Creations is the studio’s favourite to date.

“We don’t want to spoil all the details just yet, but we’re excited to share a tiny glimpse of the new map in the Development Update video! Expect a chillingly unique new battleground harboring dark secrets where you’ll confront your fear of the unknown. It’s one of our favorite maps we’ve built so far and we can’t wait to share more with you at a later time.”

The new content is expected to release sometime in October with a full gameplay trailer dropping on 5 October. We’ll actually get to see whether or not this new season is just a bunch of cosmetic items layered on top of a non-existent story or not.
