Dragon’s Dogma 2, the upcoming RPG from Capcom has been rated in Saudi Arabia, indicating that a release date announcement might be on the horizon. Recent hands-on demos at Tokyo Game Show suggest that the game is pretty far along in development so a release date reveal, possibly for some time in 2024, seems like a good guess.
Last month during Capcom’s earnings call, the company listed a major unannounced title planned for release before March 2024. With the recent Saudi Arabian rating, some fans believe that this could be referring to Dragon’s Dogma 2. However, the sequel has already been announced so it wouldn’t fit the bit of an “unannounced” title. The game is likely to be the next Monster Hunter, though we’ll have to wait for a confirmation from the publisher on that.

The official description for Dragon’s Dogma 2 reads:
“Dragon’s Dogma is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG series that challenges the players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more. Now, in this long-awaited sequel, the deep, explorable fantasy world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 awaits. On your journey, you’ll be joined by Pawns, mysterious otherworldly beings, in an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure.”
Back in May, Capcom revealed new details about the story of Dragon’s Dogma 2 as well as some key features like the Pawns system that allows you to travel with an AI-controlled party as if they were real players. The game was officially announced back in June 2022 and confirmed to be using the RE Engine.
