Granblue Fantasy: Relink, the upcoming JRPG from Cygames, has added PC to its list of platforms alongside PS4 and PS5. The game will arrive sometime in 2022, as revealed by a recent teaser trailer, promising a full platform shift away from mobile devices as it hits PlayStation consoles and PC.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink will hit PC, PS4 and PS5 with two modes: the single-player story and quests which can be tackled with up to four players in co-op. In the co-op quests, players will be able to “utilise the items and experience you’ve obtained over the course of your journey to tackle an array of challenging battles.”
A description of Granblue Fantasy: Relink reads:
“A new chapter of Granblue Fantasy unfolds in the skies of Zegagrande. Customise and develop characters, collect treasure, and so much more! With easy, normal, and hard difficulties to choose from, it accommodates players of all playstyles.”
The Granblue Fantasy series was previously developed by Cygames for Android, iOS and web browsers and received a relatively large player base since its initial launch in 2014. Granblue Fantasy: Relink will be the first time that the series will be playable on consoles. It was previously revealed to be a PlayStation exclusive, but it now looks like PC players will also get the opportunity to experience the game when it releases in 2022.
Like most JRPGs, the turn-based combat contains summons and a class system. Characters gain levels by acquiring experience, which can be accomplished in combat or simply gathering resources. You’ll gradually unlock new characters as you progress through quests too. If you don’t want to play online, you’ll be able to summon CPU allies in co-op to aid you in your journey.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink doesn’t have a concrete release date, but will release in 2022 for PC, PS4 and PS5.
