Stellar Blade is set to launch later this month and if you’re on the fence about the game, you will be able to read and watch reviews just a few days before its launch. The Stellar Blade review embargo is just two weeks away on 24 April at 12 PM CET / 12:00 SAT / 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET.
Stellar Blade is then expected to launch just a few days later on 26 April giving you more than enough time to decide on whether or not you’re picking it up.
The upcoming PS5 exclusive has been developed by Shift Up and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. After playing the demo, the best comparison I have is “Sekiro meets Bayonetta” as the game relies on more timed parries and blocks while featuring a rather glammed-up heroine.
The game follows Eve as she explores a post-apocalyptic Earth which has been overrun by strange mutated alien creatures known as the Naytiba. Eve uses various over-the-top attack styles to slice these overgrown insects apart while trying to hunt down a set of Elder Naytiba.
These creatures have seemingly been linked to the biblical “End Times” as the name stems from the book of Revelations. The game’s protagonists Adam and Eve also tie into the religious story. By the look of things, Shift Up was heavily inspired by religion when creating Stellar Blade. So much so that most of the game’s story and characters stem from holy events in the book of Revelations, which depicts the biblical end times.
Stellar Blade is launching on 26 April. You can also check out our South African pre-order guide for everything you need to know about the game’s different versions and what pre-order incentives you’ll get.
