Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios is teasing the reveal of its new game for next week. The studio took to social media to post a cryptic image showing a mysterious figure on a horse with the date and time for the announcement. According to new reports, the game will be Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Warhorse Studios posted the news on Twitter/X yesterday with a teaser image, pointing to a reveal taking place on Thursday, 18 April 2024 at 8PM CEST (which is also 8PM CAT local time for South Africans). Nothing is really shown in the image other than a figure on a horse with a dark, ominous atmosphere.
According to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, the game that’s going to be revealed is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which is exciting news for fans of the first game, especially since it ended on a cliffhanger.

The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance launched in February 2018 to mostly positive reviews. Critics at the time praised its strong attention to detail, extreme levels of realism and slow pacing that allowed players to be fully immersed in the medieval RPG. Some negative reviews criticised the game on the same merits, saying it was too slow and the hyper-realism might’ve taken away from the experience instead of adding to it.
Warhorse Studios could’ve taken this criticism to heart in the development of its sequel, though it remains to be seen if the follow-up will retain most of its realism or sway into more traditional role-playing.
As of February 2024, Kingdom Come: Deliverance sold more than 6 million units worldwide, which is a tremendous success and enough to greenlight a sequel.
In our initial positive review of the game, we called it “realistic, daunting and unforgettable”, saying:
“Kingdom Come: Deliverance will suck hundreds of hours from your life and leave you wanting to go back for even more. It is a must play and when the issues are fixed, I would give it a 9/10 or maybe even higher. Maybe just wait a few weeks, because the game is definitely worth experiencing.”
