Lies of P Director Teases First DLC and Potential Sequel

Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio have teased the first DLC for its latest Soulslike action-RPG, Lies of P, alongside a potential sequel. Speaking in a recent video update, the game’s director Choi Ji-won gave fans a hopeful update about the DLC though it still seems to be in the early stages of development.

Lies of P turned out to be a major success – enough for the studio to move ahead with post-launch content. Additionally, the director also seems to be teasing a continuation of the story which could either take the form of the next DLC or a sequel, though the latter wasn’t 100% confirmed yet.

The description of the director’s letter to fans regarding the future plans for Lies of P reads:

“After thanking fans for helping Lies of P surpass one million units sold in the first month, Choi goes on to discuss the upcoming balance patch for the game. Expected to arrive in November, the update brings significant changes to weapon and character balance, as well as quality-of-life changes to ease the difficulty in the early stages of the game. To show the developers’ gratitude, players will also receive a new outfit, along with a new feature to equip glasses and hats separately for even greater freedom in character customisation.”

Neowiz Games already revealed that DLC was in the works last month. Unfortunately, it’s anyone’s guess what it will be about. Lies of P is loosely based on the fable of Pinocchio, so it’s possible that the developer could experiment with other fairy tales and classic stories – all with the grim Bloodborne coat of paint applied over it. One idea put forth by the community revolves around Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, though we’ll leave that to speculation for now.

Lies of P is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
