You’ll have to wait a bit before getting to read Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 reviews. Yesterday Sony sent out review codes for the upcoming game and reviewers were allowed to share the exact time when the embargo drops.
The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 review embargo drops on 16 October at 16:00 CAT. After that time, you can expect to see our review up on the site and YouTube channel as well as various other media outlets and creators sharing their thoughts on the game.
The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 review embargo lifts four days before the game launches on 20 October which is a pretty confident timeline if you ask us. Recently review embargoes have been very tight. Starfield, for example, dropped a mere 8 hours before the game’s launch.
Given the scope of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, media now have over two weeks to play the game and experience everything it has to offer before serving a final verdict on the game. So mark those calendars and be sure to stick around on 16 October at 16:00 CAT.

We can only hope now that the internet remains a safe space and leaks stay away. While it rarely happens that media leak contents from a game, we are all waiting in anticipation for the usual retail game leak which seems to be a common occurrence these days. Mostly all of 2023’s biggest games leaked at retail before the review embargo dropped. This resulted in huge leaks and spoilers hitting the web. Let’s hope Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the exception.
