Netflix is Bringing Hades to iOS Devices in 2024

Netflix Games is bringing Hades, the award-winning roguelike title from Supergiant Games, to Apple devices in 2024. When Hades hits iPhone and iPad iOS next year, it will come without any ads, no in-app purchases and no extra fees attached.

Revealed as part of Netflix’s Geeked Week, Hades will be coming to iPhone and iPad sometime in 2024, though no exact release date was mentioned. Supergiant Games says that more details will be revealed closer to launch. All you’ll really need to play the game is a compatible iOS device and a Netflix subscription in order to access the game, as is the case with most Netflix games.

The official description for Hades reads:

“Hades is a god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler that combines the best aspects of Supergiant’s critically acclaimed titles, including the fast-paced action of Bastion, the rich atmosphere and depth of Transistor, and the character-driven storytelling of Pyre. As the immortal Prince of the Underworld, you’ll wield the powers and mythic weapons of Olympus to break free from the clutches of the god of the dead himself, while growing stronger and unraveling more of the story with each unique escape attempt.”

Netflix officially rolled out its gaming platform back in 2021 which allowed users to download or stream games on certain devices through the Netflix app. Best of all, you just need a Netflix subscription to access them. The streaming service is making a big push into the gaming market, it seems, as it also has plans to add heavy-hitters like Grand Theft Auto to its game lineup sometime soon.

As for other news from Geeked Week, make sure you check out the first teaser trailer for the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series and find out when Arcane‘s second season will arrive.
