Red Bull Campus Clutch South Africa Third Season

Red Bull Campus Clutch Returns for Its Third Season

Registrations for Red Bull Campus Clutch, the renowned global student Valorant tournament, are now open in South Africa. This open tournament welcomes college and university students from around the world to form teams, represent their campuses and battle it out for the chance to compete on the grandest of stages. The final event of this year’s tournament will be held offline at the prestigious Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, from November 19th to 24th.

Red Bull Campus Clutch stands as a grassroots esports initiative, uniting up-and-coming student Valorant players of all skill levels. It provides them with an unparalleled opportunity to experience competitive gaming like never before. The year 2023 promises even more excitement, featuring over 300 regional events globally spread across four months of intense action.

South African student teams can now register for regional qualifiers here.

The rules are simple: each team of five will advance through Local Qualifiers, with the top teams earning their place in the respective National Finals. Here, the finest student teams from each country will compete head-to-head, vying for the prestigious title of Red Bull Campus Clutch National Final Winners and the opportunity to represent their nation in the World Finals.

“Opportunities like this in esports at a grassroots level are few and far between worldwide!” said Roberto Gallo, captain of the 2022 South African team who went on to compete at the World Finals. He added:

“Having it open to university players of any level is a tremendous gift in itself. It allows people to experience what it’s like playing face-to-face on a stage in front of an audience—a remarkable experience that I’ll never forget. With representatives from over 50 countries, you can’t help but feel like you are participating in some sort of esports Olympics gathered in one special location with the same passion.”

Gallo further added:

“The entire experience from start to finish is something money cannot buy. Once you qualify, everything is handled by Red Bull, and you can’t help but feel like a professional athlete. Having the opportunity to compete against players worldwide on an equal playing ground, leaving behind South Africa’s usual disadvantage of high ping, was remarkable. Although the game itself felt completely different, we held our own and left room for an improved-upon performance by South Africa.”

By November, the crème de la crème of student Valorant teams will be determined. Each team will be rewarded with an all-expenses-paid invitation to the thrilling Red Bull Campus Clutch World Finals. This live LAN event, held in Istanbul, Turkey, will ultimately decide who will be crowned the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Final Champions.

With Red Bull Campus Clutch offering an unprecedented platform for South African student Valorant players to showcase their skills, the time is ripe to register and join the ranks of esports champions.
