Roger Clark, the voice actor behind protagonist Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2, says he’s ‘certain’ that Red Dead Redemption 3 will happen, though it may not involve the character. Rockstar Games is currently all-hands on deck for the very highly anticipated GTA 6 so a third Red Dead game might be a lot further away than we think. However, there’s a very good possibility that it will happen in the future, just without Arthur.
Speaking on X (formerly known as Twitter), Roger Clark responded to a question about whether Arthur will ever appear in Red Dead Redemption 3. “I’m certain that we will see RDR3 one day,” said Clark. “When that will be – I have absolutely no idea. Don’t count on Arthur’s involvement either. His story has been told, I feel.”

Spoilers for Red Dead Redemption 2 ahead but Arthur Morgan meets a pretty tragic fate at the end of the game, closing off all possibilities of a sequel featuring the character happening. If a third Red Dead game were to happen, it will likely feature a new main character which is normal for most Rockstar projects that don’t reuse protagonists between new entries.
