Redfall Release Date May 2023 Arkane Studios

Redfall Players Demand Dev Update After 3 Months of Silence

It has been three months since Redfall’s controversial launch on Xbox and PC. The game was already under the spotlight before its release after it shipped with no 60FPS mode on the Xbox Series X. The mode was promised to arrive soon after launch but three months later, there’s no update nor a response regarding the patch.

Gamers who supported the game either by purchasing it or playing it off Game Pass have now raised the question – Where is the support? Over on Reddit, users are complaining that there’s been no developer feedback regarding Redfall whatsoever and the developers have gone radio silent.

Previously, Redfall developer Arkane Austin claimed that the game would be the most supported launch at the studio with post-release content, updates and more. Sadly, there’s been no sign of that roadmap yet either.

Gamers who actually spent money on Redfall are also waiting for additional content included in the more expensive versions. The game’s $100 Bite Back Edition includes a multitude of content including new heroes, weapon skins and other cosmetics. Most of this content is still missing.

New content aside, Redfall is still a mess. The general bad performance is one thing but users are complaining that the game is still littered with game-breaking bugs, terrible visual issues and more. Not to mention the “soon 60FPS patch” is nowhere to be seen.

One comment on Reddit sums the experience up by saying:

“I think the silence from Arkane, Bethesda and Xbox here is absolutely deafening. I love Xbox and I love Phill Spencer, but we as a community absolutely have to hold them accountable when things go wrong and they don’t support their community as promised,”

The fact that there hasn’t been one substantial update in Redfall since its launch is sad. The game is since become a wasteland with no hope of a bright future anywhere in sight.
