Turtle Rock Studios released some brand-new alpha footage of Back 4 Blood. In the gameplay video, we can take a look at some of the fast-paced gameplay coming our way when the game launches in 2021. 20-foot zombies, relentless waves of undead and lots of gore, to name a few.

In addition to the Unreal Engine 4 and the fantastic visual performance the engine brings with it, Turtle Rock explained that every character in Back 4 Blood includes a defined role with individual attributes. This means players can now find the character that they feel works for their playstyle. Walker, for example, is a sort of tank role with increased health and greater ammo capacity.

Apart from the classes, the game also includes a sort of roguelike mechanic. At the start of each round, cards are played which affect the overall gameplay. Corruption Cards introduce new elements including fog, a new enemy type which you may encounter during the stage and more. Then there are also cards that help the players like improved accuracy, fire resistance and more. This system aims to keep the gameplay fresh.
