Gravity Rush 2 Remastered Reportedly Coming to PS5 and PC This Year

Gravity Rush 2 Remastered is reportedly launching on PS5 and PC this year. The rumour originates from the same source that leaked live-action movie footage being shown off at CES earlier this year, which turned out to be true. The same leaker now claims that Sony Interactive Entertainment is preparing to launch the gravity-bending action adventure game on PS5 as well as PC in the next few months.

Discord user Orangee, apparently the same source that leaked the Gravity Rush live-action movie’s appearance at CES 2024, has claimed that we can expect news about Gravity Rush 2 Remastered sometime in May, leading fans to speculate that an announcement could be made at a potential new State of Play or PlayStation showcase around that time. The leaker adds that if “everything goes along with the schedule”, we can apparently expect a late summer release.

The leaker, who claims to have this knowledge thanks to a friend who is a playtester on the game, stresses that Gravity Rush 2 Remastered will launch on PS5 first with a PC version planned for a later date. A “proper” photo mode is also reportedly being tested for it. As with all rumours and reports, take this with a pinch of salt until we get direct confirmation from PlayStation.

The original Gravity Rush 2 launched back in 2017 to mostly positive reviews, praised for its gravity-bending gameplay and stellar art direction. Sadly, Sony made the decision to shut down Japan Studio a few years ago, which included the closure of the game’s lead developer Team Gravity, a group initially formed by Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama and former members of Team Silent. The team has since moved over to Bokeh Game Studio, which is currently working on the upcoming horror game Slitterhead.

If this rumour is accurate, then fans can look forward to the return of Gravity Rush‘s sequel for modern hardware.
