GTA 6 Trailer Hilariously Recreated in The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind

The first GTA 6 trailer released in December last year and broke several internet records including becoming the first video game trailer in history to reach 100 million views on YouTube in under 24 hours. Needless to say, the hype and anticipation for the next Grand Theft Auto game is enormous. The trailer was pretty good too but some clever fans have taken it upon themselves to recreate the trailer in various styles. We’ve seen it done in the original Vice City and now, someone has remade the trailer in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, of all games.

Twitch streamer Micky D recreated the GTA 6 trailer in Bethesda’s classic RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, doing their best to highlight some of the crazy world events that happen in the game including people falling out of the sky. The creator also used a social media filter to show a faux “social media” reaction to Morrowind‘s events to hilarious results. Of course, this is all accompanied by Tom Petty’s song “Love is a Long Road” in the background.

GTA VI but it’s Morrowind!” says Micky D on Twitter/X. Watch the video below:

GTA 6 and Morrowind are vastly different games, not only set apart by decades of graphical evolution but also completely different tones, which is why it’s pretty funny to see Bethesda’s RPG reframed in a more satirical light. Since its release over two decades ago, Morrowind has been the subject of plenty of memes including the viral Dagothwave song, so it’s no surprise to see it as the subject of a GTA 6 trailer recreation (which is happening at an alarming frequency now).

GTA 6 is currently scheduled to launch sometime in 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version will likely release at a later date.
