Crunchyroll recently held its annual Anime Awards 2024, which is often touted as the biggest awards show for the medium of anime in the entertainment industry. With the winners in the voting process largely decided by fan votes, this year saw season 2 of the acclaimed action anime, Jujutsu Kaisen, win Anime of the Year. Other strong contenders included Vinland Saga, Demon Slayer, Oshi No Ko and Chainsaw Man, among others.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 was the big winner of the night, walking home with Best Character Design, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Action, Best Supporting Character, Best Opening Sequence and Anime of the Year. However, other winners of the night included Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village Arc, Bocchi The Rock, Suzume, Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters, Chainsaw Man and One Piece.
