SpellForce III: Reforced is set to launch on 7 June for PlayStation and Xbox. This is after the game was previously delayed from December 2021 to May 2022 and then again to June. Players will finally get to experience the popular RTS on consoles with some unique controller features, which I previously covered here and a whole new game mode called Journey Mode.
In SpellForce III: Reforced, the Journey Mode will let players create their own hero and experience a new 20+ hour campaign inspired by the original “free game mode” from SpellForce 1. Characters created in this Journey Mode can also be taken into the Journey Skirmish matches which gives them some extra life after the campaign ends too.

Journey Mode is also playable in co-op with up to three friends online. As you go about the 20+ hour campaign, players will learn more about the untold stories in the SpellForce universe, travel to new locations and fight new enemies and hordes.
THQ Nordic also announced that SpellForce III: Reforced will get a new dedicated map and mods system on PC. This will allow players the opportunity to build their own maps using an intuitive creator system. You can use assets taken directly from the game or simply import some custom ones at the same time.
Given that SpellForce III originally launched back in 2017 for PC, this new Journey Mode and Maps and Mods system will greatly add new ways to play the game and further extend the game’s overall experience.
SpellForce III: Reforced is set to launch on 7 June for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC through a free game update for existing owners.
