The Boy and The Heron will launch digitally on 25 June. The film will be available to purchase across all major digital content services such as Apple TV, Google Play Movies and Amazon. Following that launch, Studio Ghibli is releasing a special edition 4K UHD Blu-Ray and DVD SteelBook version on 9 July.

The SteelBook Edition will cost $39. The studio says it is a combo edition and comes with both the 4K UHD Blu-Ray and DVD included. It also includes various extras such as interviews with the composer, producer and supervisor animator. There’s also an exclusive poster included in the box.
