Resident Evil 4 Deluxe Edition – R885.98

The critically acclaimed remake of Resident Evil 4 released earlier this year. If you missed it, we strongly recommend experiencing the classic Capcom survival horror game with a fresh coat of paint and various excellent visual upgrades, including gameplay tweaks to modernise the game. The Deluxe Edition, which is currently on sale, includes a variety of additional costumes for Leon and Ashley and much more.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach – R539.25

With the live-action Five Nights at Freddy’s movie scheduled to release this Friday, now might be a good time to brush up on the games and experience the latest chapter in the murderous animatronic saga, Security Breach. While it had a rocky launch, Security Breach has since received multiple updates and one well-received free DLC called Ruin to make the package a very enticing purchase.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition – R359.60

2021’s Game of the Year nominee, Resident Evil Village, sits among the franchise’s best installments. Continuing the harrowing story of the Winters family from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Village ups the horror and introduces a carnival of nightmares from the ever-popular Lady Dimitrescu and her vampiric daughters to the disturbing psychological terror of House Beneviento. The Gold Edition includes the base game as well as all available DLC.

Dead Space Digital Deluxe Edition – R695.40

EA Motive’s acclaimed remake of Dead Space launched earlier this year and successfully revived the dormant survival horror IP. Overhauled visuals, refined gameplay, tighter controls and expanded levels all make this remake one worth revisiting. The Digital Deluxe edition of the game contains the base game as well as three unique suits for protagonist Isaac Clarke alongside two cool suit textures.

Little Nightmares I & II Bundle – R269.70

Bandai Namco’s excellent horror platformer series, Little Nightmares, is definitely worth your time if you’re a fan of inventive scares, disturbing imagery and stunning art direction. Both the first game and its acclaimed sequel are currently on sale in a heavily discounted bundle.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Season One – R715.60

The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of cinematic, interactive horror games developed by Until Dawn‘s Supermassive Games. Four episodes are available at the moment as part of the first season: Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes and the most recent entry, The Devil In Me. You can find every single game as part of this Season One bundle and for such a low price, it’s worth every penny.

The Quarry Deluxe Edition – R379.75

Another fantastic interactive horror experience from Supermassive Games, The Quarry features a star-studded cast consisting of Justice Smith, Ariel Winter, Brenda Song, David Arquette and many others as a group of young adults who find themselves trapped in a nightmarish scenario at a summer vacation cabin. The Deluxe edition includes 80s-themed character outfits, instant access to the Death Rewind system, the Gorefest Movie Mode option and Horror History Visual Filter Pack.

Inscryption – R215.40

If you’re in the mood for innovative indie horror, Inscryption has you covered. It’s deliciously described as an “inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie.” If that doesn’t sell you on its premise, it’s currently available at a great price and according to strong reviews, it’s a breakout hit.

Ghostwire: Tokyo Deluxe Edition – R530.97

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a bit more action-focused than horror but don’t let that stop you from experiencing one of 2022’s sleeper hits. Developed by The Evil Within company Tango Gameworks, Ghostwire: Tokyo takes players on a haunted trip through the Shibuya District which has become overrun by a variety of terrifying Japanese folkloric creatures and urban legends. Equipped with a spirit guardian and an assortment of spells, you must expel the supernatural intruders. The Deluxe Edition contains the base game and some cosmetics.
