A new DLC-sized mod for Starfield gives players the ability to build mechs, start a farm, create colonies and more. Bethesda Game Studios is still in the process of adding mod support to consoles, though PC players have been having a blast experimenting with different ways to mix up the ambitious sci-fi RPG. This new one is quite impressive if you ever wanted to construct your very own Gundam (and do some light farming in the process).
Modder TankGirl444 recently uploaded their latest project to Starfield‘s Nexus Mods page titled TGs Galactic Colonies Expanse. The modder describes it as a “new DLC-sized mod” that will allow players to land on any planet and build a colony or empire, do some farming and get to work constructing their ideal mech. According to TankGirl444, the mod took a month to create and greatly expands upon their previous mods that aimed to improve player home and building in the game.
TGs Galactic Colonies Expanse gives players a more streamlined way to mine materials and minerals without having to create different outposts all the time. The mod also includes “fully constructed buildings that are prefabricated and buildable” such as biodomes where you can grow plants on desolate planets.
If you’ve always wanted Stardew Valley in space, the mod also includes a farming system where you can farm, craft, sell fruits and vegetables and even have your own livestock. By far, the most impressive addition in this mod is mechs. They’re fully functional and can be customised in various ways. Mechs are also lore-accurate to a degree as they’re present in the game’s history, mainly The Colony War.
TGs Galactic Colonies Expanse is now available to download on Nexus Mods if you’re playing Starfield on PC, though we always recommend installing mods at your own risk.
Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
