EA is ‘Confident’ Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Will Release in 2024 – Report

Electronic Arts and developer BioWare are reportedly ‘confident’ that its anticipated RPG, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, will release in 2024. The game has been in development for several years now and we’ve only received a handful of cinematic trailers with nothing to show for gameplay. However, that might all change soon as a new report reiterates that it will appear in the summer for a big reveal.

According to journalist and industry insider Jeff Grubb, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf might launch later this year, though plans could easily change and it could slip to next year as well. Grubb states that he last heard EA was quite confident in the game releasing in 2024, though. “I suspect (Dragon Age: Dreadwolf) will probably pop up in the summer,” said Grubb on his Game Mess Decides pocast with co-host Mike Minotti. “I don’t know when it’ll be shown, but I assume it’ll be shown sometime this summer.”

Elaborating a bit on a potential release date or window, Grubb added, “It will be released this year, last I heard. [EA] are pretty confident about that. That doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee; it could slip, but right now, internally, they expect to release it later this year.”

Last December, BioWare already confirmed that a full reveal was set for “summer 2024”, which places it somewhere between June and August. It’s likely that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will either be shown at EA’s own showcase or at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest.

To add more crediblity to the 2024 release rumour, a developer at BioWare updated their LinkedIn profile which accidentally revealed a planned 2024 release window for the game. This might’ve been internal knowledge only and wasn’t meant to be shared online, only used as a broad deadline by the studio until it’s confirmation.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
