Gigabyte Unveils Aero and Aorus Gaming Notebooks With RTX 3080 GPUs and OLED Screens

Gigabyte has announced a range of new gaming notebooks at CES 2021 including a handful of Aero and Aorus devices. These new notebooks have seen a substantial jump in tech across the board. Not only is the company including NVIDIA’s new RTX 3000 mobile series GPUs in them but all the models now have better displays and improved exteriors.

Gigabyte is focusing on two main Aorus gaming notebooks and two new Aero productivity devices. There’s the Aorus 15G and 17G and the Aero 17 and 15. Instead of going with AMD like other PC brands this year, Gigabyte is sticking with Intel and its H-Series CPUs.

Gigabyte Aorus 17G

The big daddy of the range is the Aorus 17G. This 17.3-inch gaming notebook is targeted to the “hardcore gamers” according to the brand. It is the only new Gigabyte notebook that still packs a mechanic keyboard with Omron switches. In addition, Gigabyte has included a 300Hz display and users can get up to a GeForce RTX 3080 packed inside.

Gigabyte Aorus 17G 15G 15P RTX 3080

There are two new Gigabyte Aorus 15-inch models arriving. One is the 15G and the other is the 15P. The difference between the two is the 15G is more focused on portability and drivers 8 eight hours of battery life. The 15P includes an RTX 3070 while the 15G includes the RTX 3080. Both have a 15.3-inch 240Hz display.

When it comes to the Gigabyte Aero range, the company now includes an AMOLED display in one model and have added RTX 3000 Series GPUs across the board. There’s the 17.3 and 15.3 display configuration. Each device will boast different hardware specs compared to the other.
