Persona 3 Reload, the full remake of the classic RPG Persona 3, has hit an impressive sales milestone. According to Atlus, it has now become the fastest-selling game in the company’s history, surpassing one million units sold in its first week. This is no doubt due to the success of Persona 5 in bringing the franchise to mainstream attention.
Atlus reported that Persona 3 Reload hit one million copies sold in seven days, making it not only the fastest-selling Persona game but the fastest-selling game in the company’s history of releases. It’s hard to deduce how well this stacks up to Persona 5 as that game released a few months earlier in Japan before launching worldwide in 2017. Sales for Persona 5 only seemed to pick up after the game’s critical success and mainstream breakthrough.
