Skyrim Anniversary Edition Prices and Upgrades Announced

Bethesda is set to launch another version of Skyrim this month. On 11 November, Skyrim Anniversary Edition releases for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. However, up to now, we all wondered how much this so-called “new Skyrim” is going to cost us. Bethesda has announced the price tag and upgrade system for the game.

According to Bethesda, the Skyrim Anniversary Edition bundles together the Skyrim Special Edition and every piece of Creation Club content released before this new game. This means Skyrim Anniversary Edition is the beefiest version of Skyrim to date. Especially good news for console owners who have been limited in mods up to now.

Players who already own Skyrim Special Edition can upgrade to the Aniversary Edition at launch. However, this upgrade is not free and will cost you a penny. If you own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, you can pay $19,99/EUR €19.99/GBP £15.99/AUD $29.95/RUB 1429/ +/- R249 (local pricing TBC) to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition on 11 November. This includes the upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X/S version of the game.

If you don’t own the game, the full version will cost you $49.99/EUR €54.99/GBP £47.99/AUD $79.95/RUB 3399 / +/- R999 (local pricing TBC).

So in short, if you purchase the game on PS4 or Xbox One, you can then upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions for free. Or you can simply purchase the whole thing again. Here’s a breakdown of all the content included in the Skyrim Anniversary Edition.
