Tekken 7 was first released in arcades in March 2015 before finally receiving a wider release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in June 2017.

Bandai Namco Games has been busy with the latest entry, Tekken 8, which appeared at The Game Awards last week to debut some new gameplay footage but sadly, no release date. Bandai Namco previously stated that it aims to release Tekken 8 sometime in the fiscal year 2023, which could also push it to early 2024.

Tekken 8 will feature striking updated visuals via Unreal Engine 5 and introduce new mechanics to the gameplay, though we’ll likely hear more details in the near future. So far, the confirmed characters for the anticipated game appear to be Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and King.

Tekken 7 has since received multiple updates that added new content to the game such as new stages, new guest characters, game modes and much more. The Tekken 7 Definitive Edition, which bundles every piece of DLC released since the game’s launch, is currently on sale for R342.24 on the PlayStation Store as part of the End of Year sale.
