Gotham Knights Gets New Release Date and Villains Trailer

Gotham Knights, the upcoming superhero game from developer Warner Bros Montreal, has been given a slight bump up in its release date. Instead of launching on 25 October, the anticipated return to Gotham will release four days earlier on 21 October. The news was accompanied by a new trailer at Gamescom that highlighted the rest of the game’s villains including Mr. Freeze, Clayface and Harley Quinn.

The latest trailer for Gotham Knights offers less Court of Owls, who will be the main antagonists of the game, and more side villains. This includes our first look at Harley Quinn and Clayface. The rogues gallery for Batman is massive and there’s no shortage of villains that Warner Bros Montreal can put into the game, so it’s great to see the Court of Owls not entirely overshadowing some familiar faces.

The description of the Villains trailer for Gotham Knights reads:

“There’s a storm coming and Renee Montoya knows she can’t trust the GCPD to fight it. She must ally herself with our Knights before it’s too late. Will they stand a chance against the wrath of Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface, and the Court of Owls as they each try to take over Gotham City? Or will the villains reign over Gotham?”

If you pre-order Gotham Knights, you’ll receive the 233 Kustom Batcycle skin.

Gotham Knights takes place in a world following the supposed death of Bruce Wayne. The extended Batfamily, consisting of Batgirl, Red Hood, Nightwing and Robin, must band together to stop the rise of the shadowy organisation known as the Court of Owls and the assassins called Talons. They’ll also encounter plenty of villains along the way.

Gotham Knights now releases on 21 October 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out the brand new trailer that debuted at Gamescom Opening Night Live below.
