It’s that time of the year again, where Dota 2 fans can mark those calendars and set those alarms to watch The International 2019 qualifier after qualifier. This year promises to be the best one yet as teams will be fighting it out for a massive prize pool and every year, the pro teams improve so much that I simply can’t wait. Valve has now revealed The International 2019 qualifier dates, which includes the dreaded open qualifier (unless you are OG) and the regional qualifiers.
At the time of writing, The International 2019’s prize pool sits at $18.9 million, which is roughly R270 million. The prize pool continues to grow and since it is now nearly 25% ahead of TI 2018 at the same amount of days past since the Battle Pass released, there is a very good chance the prize pool will yet again make esports history this year. Therefore, teams have a lot, and a really do mean a lot, to play for.
The International 2019 qualifier dates are as follows:
- Open Qualifiers – 3 to 7 July 2019
- Regional Qualifiers – 8 to 15 July 2019
