The Outer Worlds PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are all but confirmed at this point. Two weeks ago, the Taiwan rating board listed the game online accidently before its intended announcement. While at first the listing was taken with a pinch of salt, the box art for this version have now also been leaked online showing that there is indeed a native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version of The Outer Worlds coming our way.
The box details the game as The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition. This is a new version of the game which is seperate from the previously-named “Board Approved Bundle” that was released on PS4 and Xbox One. The Board Approved Bundle included the base game and both the released expansion packs – Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos.
While details on this new The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition haven’t been announced yet, we can only gather that the game will include visual enhancements, all DLC and patches and both expansion packs in one package. Check out the box art below:
We’ll likely see the official announcement for this game at The Game Awards in December. However, given how quickly these listings have appeared online, I won’t be suprised if it takes place earlier than that.
