Ubisoft Adds XP Boosters to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla But Waits a Month to do it

While many of us believed that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla would not contain time-saver and XP booster packs due to the option not being available at launch, Ubisoft just added the feature into the game.  The developer waited almost a month before the in-game purchases went live which means players can now pay to level up Evior faster if they want to.

The recent Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla update which added the Yule Festival also added to new XP boosters into the game. For a fee, players can now permanently supercharge their character’s experience gain by 50%. In addition, they can pay even more money to supercharge the rate in which they gain in-game currency. If they want both, they can purchase a pack that increases the rate for both XP and currency.

Of course, Ubisoft has previously denied that they throttle XP earning in these games in order to push players towards purchasing these booster packs. The same is now said for the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla packs. With that being said, in my review of the game, I levelled up quite fast and even now I have unlocked Mastery Levels without the need to grind. Perhaps these XP booster packs are only for those who really need the XP boost but rest assured that you can play the game naturally without worrying about levelling up.

Still, it would be nice to have a Ubisoft game without all this nonsense. All three of the publisher’s recent games including Valhalla, Immortals and Watch Dogs included the same store with the same cosmetic items that looked a lot better than anything you can unlock in-game naturally. It is just a matter of time before Immortals gets its own XP booster and time-saver packs. It is getting tired now.
