Ubisoft Forward Confirmed For June During Summer Game Fest

Ubisoft has confirmed a new Forward event set to take place during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest this June. The publisher will once again host an in-person event in Los Angeles, giving players a glimpse into its planned releases for the rest of 2024 and beyond. Fans can look forward to the next Ubisoft Forward on 10 June.

Ubisoft announced that the next Forward event will take place on 10 June in the same time frame as Summer Game Fest, which aims to replace the annual slot previously held by E3 each year. The publisher’s announcement on social media simply says we can look forward to “updates and upcoming releases”, though some fans already have an idea of what might be shown thanks to previous reports and some official information straight from Ubisoft itself.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft confirmed that it plans to launch Assassin’s Creed Red, the new feudal-Japan based main entry in the series, before March 2025. It’s highly likely that it will finally be shown at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward, hopefully with a release date and a new official title as “Red” is simply a working codename.

There have also been some rumours about a potential remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag being developed at Ubisoft Singapore, one of the studios responsible for the original game.

Beyond the Assassin’s Creed franchise, there’s a small chance that Ubisoft could blow the lid open on Far Cry 7 too. Rumours about the seventh instalment in the series circulated back in January 2023. The game will reportedly taking place in the Alaskan wilderness and feature a non-linear, time limited story that will apparently require players to manage their time to save their family from a conspiracy group called the ‘Sons of Truth.’

We can possibly expect updates on XDefiant, Skull and Bones and a number of other Ubisoft projects so fans might want to keep an eye on this one.
