Mortal Kombat 1 Confirms Reptile, Havik and More Characters

Developer NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for its upcoming fighting game, Mortal Kombat 1, which unveils a handful of new characters including the return of Reptile, Havik, Ashrah and Sareena as a Kameo fighter. The trailer arrived as part of the massive Evo 2023 fighting game tournament which took place over the weekend.

The latest trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 re-introduces Reptile into the series again. After being absent from the Mortal Kombat 11 roster, it’s good to see the scaly green ninja make his return to the series. However, representing the franchise’s 3D era, Mortal Kombat 1 is also adding old school fighters like Havik and Ashrah to the mix as well as Sareena, though she’s relegated to being a Kameo fighter.

In other news, those who pre-ordered Mortal Kombat 1 can look forward to a beta taking place from 18-21 August. The content of this beta will include a handful of characters, stages and Kameos to get a feel of the gameplay. Namely, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Johnny Cage and Li Mei will all be available alongside Kameos from Kano, Sonya, Jax and Frost. The Teahouse and Johnny Cage’s Mansion will be the available stages to beta players too.

Last month, NetherRealm Studios also added Smoke and Rain to the Mortal Kombat 1 roster along with Frost, Scorpion, Sektor and Cyrax as Kameo fighters.
