Bandai Namco has introduced fan-favourite character Lili who will be joining the starting roster of its upcoming fighting game, Tekken 8. The latest gameplay trailer for Lili shows off her various new and remixed combos as well as her striking new design in the next entry. Lili now joins an impressive lineup of fighters coming to the long-awaited sequel at launch including the likes of Kazuya, Jin, Asuka, King and more.
Lili (or short for Emilie De Rochefort) was first introduced in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection alongside Sergei Dragunov. Her moveset is described as fast and dynamic but difficult to master as it requires precise timing to string combos and juggle successfully. That said, she’s also the prime choice for several Tekken fans due to her design, personality and flexible combat. Lili has appeared in several mainline Tekken games since her introduction to the series.

In case you missed it, Bandai Namco confirmed that Tekken 8 will have several highly requested online multiplayer features including crossplay and rollback netcode being implemented by Arika. The anticipated fighting game is being built in Unreal Engine 5 and features a big graphical leap over its predecessor, Tekken 7.
The new Heat System gameplay mechanic in Tekken 8 encourages players to be more aggressive for high risk/high reward battles. Rage Arts, special flashy finishers specific to each character, will also be making a return to the series after being introduced in the previous game. With no release date in sight, Bandai Namco continues to roll out character trailers at a steady pace. Hopefully we’ll finally get a date in the next few months.
