Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced a new PS5 bundle for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ahead of its release later this month. The bundle, similar to the standard Final Fantasy XVI PS5 bundle, will feature a regular PS5 console with a digital code to download the game. Sony is also still selling themed limited edition console covers as well as themed DualSense controllers.
The new PS5 bundle for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available to purchase starting from 20 October 2023, the release date of the game. Unfortunately, no pricing or pre-order details have been announced yet but we can expect them to arrive closer to launch. This shouldn’t be confused with the limited edition themed PS5 accessories and console that Sony revealed a few months ago as this bundle is simply a standard white console with a code.

On the bright side, this should give new PS5 buyers a chance to purchase a console with the digital game attached if they’ve been holding out on buying a PS5 specifically for the relase of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release on 20 October but you can expect the review embargo to drop a week before launch. Insomniac Games previously revealed that the anticipated superhero sequel had gone gold a month ahead of release. Players can expect to unlock 65 unique suits in the game for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, which is far more than what was offered in previous games.
The description for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 provided by Insomniac Games reads:
“Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, return for an exciting new adventure in the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise for PS5. Swing, jump and utilize the new Web Wings to travel across Marvel’s New York, quickly switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales to experience different stories and epic new powers, as the iconic villain Venom threatens to destroy their lives, their city and the ones they love.”
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on 20 October 2023 exclusively for PS5.
